Honda Motors India has kept the Indian bike enthusiasts standing on their toes in the hope to catch a glimpse as soon as they announced the impending launch of their high end bike, Honda Interceptor VFR800 by early 2010. According to Honda, the new machine is the best street bike compared to its counterparts. It comes loaded with fuel injected and VTEC-equipped V-4 engine, sophisticated twin-spar all-aluminium chassis design and exclusive Combined Braking System with the option of Anti-lock Braking System.

Engine
Honda Interceptor runs on the liquid cooled V4, 4 stroke engine which generates a maximum power of 107Bhp at 10500 rpm with the maximum torque of 80Nm at 8750 rpm. The bike depends on the 6 gear transmission along with 4 valve per cylinder. The VTEC engine switches from the eight-valve to 16-valve unit depending on the range of rpm and thus it offers a choice of either maximum power or maximum economy.

Design And Comfort
Honda VFR800 is one of the classic machines which continues to sell since its debut in 1983 passing through the generations with the improved features. Now the front fairing sports angular lines coupled with the integrated headlights and signal lights to give a synthesis of modernity and aesthetic aspect. Interceptor stands conspicuous from the CBR models clearly visible from the adoption of simple side fairing design unlike the CBR's with the aggressive look enhanced by those cooling snips. The four brilliant multi-reflector headlights offer the trouble-free night ride. The five-spoke rear wheels and the under seat exhaust are the striking features which really show the overall persona and power of the bike.

Ride And Handling
The ride and handling in the 2009 Honda Interceptor is amazing. Coupled with the linked braking system, the large diameter 43mm Honda multi-Action System cartridge front fork proves all condition riding capability. Ranging out a sharp, compact and aggressive look, it features a wide spacious seat with the rightly placed footpegs and handlebars for the unparallel ride comfort. It is the right bike for the long highway ride both in style and high end comfort unlike its peers. Honda VFR 800 is sleek in style and aerodynamic in built, which is to give a compact-comfy ride experience. The air percolating through the windscreen's central air vent refreshes the rider at low speeds and increases the comfort level at higher speeds by offering due protection from high velocity winds.
